Housing for Hope is developing two additional phases of 134 apartments at the former Catholic Charities administration site located at 4747 and 4737 N. 7th Avenue. This multi-phased affordable housing community is called Acacia Heights.
Acacia Heights Phase One
The Foundation for Senior Living (FSL) completed Phase One, which is now open, with 78 apartments, mostly one bedroom, for seniors over age 55. For leasing information, contact Tracy Cote at 602-285-0505 ext. 158, or Tena Soto at FSL at 602-285-1800 ext. 189.
Acacia Heights Phase Two
Housing for Hope is currently constructing Phase Two which will be completed in Fall of 2024. This 66-unit project is designated for families and is comprised of 57 units for households between 40% to 60% of median income; and 9 workforce housing units for households between 80% and 100% of median income.
The 66 units include 21 one-bedroom one-bathroom apartments of 583 square feet; 21 two-bedroom one-bathroom apartments ranging from 822 to 824 square feet; 21 three-bedroom 1.75-bathroom apartments ranging from 1,076 to 1,079 square feet; and 3 four-bedroom 2-bathroom apartments ranging from 917 to 1,375 square feet.

Acacia Heights Phase Three
Housing for Hope has just started construction on Phase Three along 7th Avenue with completion projected for Fall of 2025. This phase will consist of 68 units and provide a mixture of 35 one-bedroom, 18 two-bedroom and 15 three-bedroom units. These units are designated for households with incomes at 40%, 50% and 60% of the median income. Apartment sizes range from 596 square feet for a one-bedroom unit up to 1,231 for a three-bedroom unit.
Phase Two and Three Amenities
The Acacia Heights campus amenities include a community room, outdoor courtyard, play area, sport court, and community garden. A large community room with a kitchen has been designed for community gatherings and resident use for special events. Additional amenities include an indoor fitness room, teen room, secure bike storage, covered parking and centralized laundry. Residents will access the secure building through a controlled entry with security cameras for added resident security.
